This just in...

My friend, Alli, is a broadway star! She really is! The show she is currently is Cry Baby and it's up for a Tony award. Because of this, the show is getting lots of publicity and Alli is going to perform (by HERSELF!!!!!) tomorrow on Regis and Kelly! So, set your TiVo and tune in! I'm so excited for her. I would like to add that she and Eric were in a band together once (Eric played the guitar and Alli sang) and they even had a gig all the way up in Seattle! OK...so it was a one time thing and it was for Kristen's wedding but still...pretty awesome! Here's a picture of Alli and I from Kristen's wedding!

Growing

Our little Ella is 18 days old today and she is growing and changing! It's so weird how fast it really does happen. She had her first Dr's appt. today and she weighed in at a solid 9 lbs 1 oz! That's such a good feeling as a mom to know she's getting enough to eat! Anyway, I thought I'd post a few pictures to keep you updated!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Today is the birthday of TWO people! First, my husband! It has been so awesome seeing him with Ella and just watching him love and dote on her. She already has him wrapped around her finger and I LOVE seeing him as a dad! Sometimes I can't believe how lucky I am to be married to him! He truly is my most favorite person in the world and there is no one else I could imagine going through life with! Happy Birthday, Eric! I love you!

Second, is Kristen...Happy Birthday! Kristen and I had so much fun together in our single days (not that we don't still) but we were always doing something spontaneous and fun! I love her friendship and I love that we still keep in touch despite the distance! Love you!

AND...for a quick update on our little girl...things are going GREAT! I can't believe what a good girl we got. She's even doing well through the night and I can't wait until I feel 100% so we can start going on outings! Eric and I are looking forward to the weekend to just have time with her at home!

It's a Girl!!!

We are so excited about the birth of daughter, Ella Grace Scholte! She is so perfect and we are so grateful to God for blessing us with her! She was born Friday, May 16 at 12:53 weighing 8lbs, 4oz and 19 1/2 inches long. We are home from the hospital now and adjusting well! (OK...last night was a little rough!) Here are a couple pics my sister took...I promise more soon!

Fully baked!

First of all...Happy Mother's Day (a day late)! I am so very thankful for my mother and mother-in-law. For my mom, I am so thankful for all the love and sacrifice she gave raising us 4 girls! We are so fortunate to have such a loving mom who now loves being a grandma! I am also thankful to her for raising us all to love the Lord and to make wise choices in life. Thanks, Mom for all that you have done and all you continue to do! I hope I can be as great a mom as you! To my mother-in-law, I am so thankful that she raised such a wonderful son! I could not have asked for a more wonderful husband and I give credit to his parents! Thank you!

Second...I am officially 9 months today! No baby yet so I will be induced Thursday morning if the baby doesn't come on it's own. I feel mixed emotions of fear, excitment, and anticipation all at the same time. It's crazy to think we have 2 more days before our lives change forever! Please pray that all goes smoothly and that there are no complications! Here are some photos from yesterday. We were at Eric's parents' to celebrate Mother's Day and I wanted to get some last photos of Eric and I pre-baby!

We think these shots when done seriously are cheesy...ours is supposed to be cheesy!

There's my basketball baby! Doesn't he/she want out?!?!?

Isabelle Eden

My friend Erin (who was due 2 weeks after me, by the way!) had her baby girl yesterday! I'm so excited for her and slightly jealous that I'm not holding mine yet! Here she is...6lbs 8 oz...so tiny and such a cutey!

We are still waiting for our little one to make his/her appearance! My actual due date is Monday and while I know it could be at least a week later than that I'm getting antsy! We just can't wait to meet this little person and finally know if it's a boy or a girl. I'm feeling great though so I can't complain. Eric and I take a nightly walk to "walk the baby out" so hopefully that will start working soon! I'll try to post a picture of my gigantic profile soon...I think I only fit in 2 shirts now!

Happy May!

So, I realize it's been a while since I've blogged so let me back up a little! A few weekends back, my sisters threw a beautiful shower for me in Redlands. It was so nice and so great to see so many friends and family that I don't get to see all the time. I was once again overwhelmed by the generosity of so many as we prepare for our little one's arrival. And a great big THANK YOU! to my sisters for throwing such a fabulous shower!

The next weekend brought Kristen out from Washington! It was so great to have her out here and to get to hang out with her as much as possible. She stayed with us as her home base so I felt especially spoiled that I got to see her every morning and hear about the previous day and plans for that day! I also got some good chunks of time with her to just catch up and have conversations face to face! I loved our time together and I'm so thankful I got to see her again before our little one arrives!

Last Saturday was an exciting one as well. I have been a fan of the Bachelor since it began. I've missed a few seasons here and there but I've been a pretty faithful watcher! To make a long story short, I got to be in the audience of The Girls Tell All! It was so exciting and I went with 2 friends from work. It airs this Monday, not sure if you'll see us or not but it was such a fun memory. It was a really long afternoon/evening but worth it! I even got to meet Chris Harrison (the host) which I was REALLY excited about!

Maternity leave has been wonderful. Now we are starting to get VERY eager to meet our little one! I am getting HUGE and while I'm nervous about everything, I'm also extremely excited! My lists are slowly getting chipped away at...I think I was a little more productive last week than this one but it's been pretty good this week too! Wednesday, I met up with some college friends for lunch in Redlands and that was really fun. It was great to catch up especially because Cheryl, Emily, and I are all pregnant and this was probably the last time without kids! Kelly didn't have Cameron with her but I have a feeling next time we meet will have to be at a park!
